One reel. Then it's 1 am.

You sit down for Kinematics.

One notification, one reel, one more.

The chapter is still open, the night is gone, and you feel worse than before you started.

Every JEE aspirant knows this loop. hite breaks it by putting the work before the scroll.

You don't need more willpower. You need a lock.

Not a reminder you swipe away. A lock that opens when the work is done.

How it works

Three steps. Two minutes to set up.

  1. Pick what eats your day.

Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, games, anything. The usual time sinks come pre-ticked.

  2. Set your free time.

Choose how many minutes those apps get with zero studying: anywhere from 0 to 4 h, weekdays and weekends apart. Pick 0 and they stay locked until you study.

  3. Do today's minimum.

1 lesson and 15 questions. Right or wrong, every answer counts toward it. Then your earned minutes open your apps.

Calls, messages, the camera, the clock and Settings never lock.

Same idea as JEE marking

Earn your screen time.

Right answers pay in minutes. Harder questions pay more.

  1. Finished lessonExplain, diagram, worked example, recap, checks. +10min
  2. Right answer, NCERT levelFirst try. +2min
  3. Right answer, JEE Main levelFirst try. +4min
  4. Wrong first tryOptions questions only. Integer answers never cost. -1min
  5. Right answer, JEE Advanced levelFirst try. +8min

  7. Daily boss beatenThe toughest question from a lesson you've finished. +20min
  8. Today's minimum done1 lesson and 15 questions, right or wrong. Now the earned minutes unlock.

Stuck? Buy a hint.

One rung at a time. The cost is upfront.

  1. 1Nudge-2 min
  2. 2Key step-4 min
  3. 3Full solution-8 min
  4. Twin question right+8 back

Get the twin question right after the solution and you win the 8 back.

Every price is shown before you tap. Free time goes first, earned minutes after. Up to 2 h earned a day, and up to 1 h carries over to tomorrow.

Try a real one.

A JEE Main 2026 question. Pick an answer and lock it in. +4 if right, -1 if not, just like the app.

Practice 60min balance

Q15 JEE Main 2026

Laws of Motion, JEE Main level

+4 -1

A spherical ball of mass 2 kg falls from a height of 10 m and is brought to rest after penetrating 10 cm into sand. The average force exerted by sand on the ball is N. (Take g = 10 m/s²)

The lock that means it

Built for your weakest moment.

Making it stricter works instantly. Making it looser waits until tomorrow.

  • Night lock. Sleep wins.

Your locked apps stay shut overnight, whatever minutes you have left. 11:30 pm to 6 am by default, your hours if you change them.

  • No midnight deals.

Add an app and it locks now. Remove one and it opens tomorrow. Same for free time and the night lock.

  • Real emergency?

10 minutes, twice a week. Never during night lock.

  • Essentials stay open.

Calls, messages, the camera, the clock and Settings are never locked.

  • It doesn't snoop.

The lock only learns which app is open. Never what's on your screen, never what you type.

Rolled the phone's clock back? Then free time waits until the minimum is done.

Ask AI

Stuck at 11 pm? Ask.

The AI already sees the question or step you're on. No retyping.

  1. Tap Ask on any screen, or long-press a step, a note or an option.
  2. Type your doubt or send a photo of your working.
  3. No retyping. It already sees the step you're on.
  4. Every answer has a report button.

Got one wrong?

Tap “Why was I wrong?” and it looks at your answer.

After you answerFree

Asking about a question you haven't solved costs the same as the next hint, so it's never a free shortcut. Once you've answered, asking is free.

Notes

Notes for the night before.

Formula-first notes for every chapter, plus the traps that cost marks. Filter to just Formulas or just Traps.

Angles, degrees and radians

Radian and degreeπc=180∘,1∘=π180 rad\pi^{c}=180^\circ,\qquad 1^\circ=\frac{\pi}{180}\ \text{rad}

Trap. sin⁡30\sin 30 is not sin⁡30∘\sin 30^\circ. No degree sign means radians, so sin⁡30≈−0.988\sin 30\approx-0.988.

Arc and sector area (θ\theta in radians)l=rθ,A=12r2θl=r\theta,\qquad A=\tfrac{1}{2}r^2\theta

Trap. Using l=rθl=r\theta with degrees. Both formulas need radians. Plugging in 60 gives nonsense.

Trig functions on the unit circle

Pythagorean identitiessin⁡2θ+cos⁡2θ=1\sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta=1

Trap. sec⁡θ\sec\theta never sits strictly between −1-1 and 11. So sec⁡θ=12\sec\theta=\frac12 has no solution, however nice it looks.

Ranges−1≤sin⁡θ≤1,−1≤cos⁡θ≤1-1\le\sin\theta\le1,\qquad-1\le\cos\theta\le1

Trigonometry's notes: 55 formulas, 24 traps.

hite is coming to Google Play. Free, no ads, Android.

Quick answers

Is it free?

Yes. Free, with no ads.

iPhone?

hite is Android only.

Does it read my chats?

No. The lock only learns which app is open. Never what's on your screen or what you type.

Can I turn it off?

Yes, any time, in Android's accessibility settings. You set the rules. hite just holds you to them.

Which classes and exams?

Class 11, class 12 and droppers preparing for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, MHT CET, BITSAT and the boards. The chapters so far are class 11 Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Do I need an account?

Sign in with Google or email. Your progress backs up, so a new phone picks up where the old one left off.

When can I get it?

Soon. It's in testing for Google Play. Follow @hiteapp to hear the day it's out.
